Bio

      A creative and inspiring performer, Venezuelan-born bassoonist Juan Panneflek delivers his expressions and virtuosity through his instrument. Trained and educated in multiple musical realms, Juan teaches students in a learning-catered environment tailored to each student's different learning styles. Juan started his passion for music at an early age. After he started learning the bassoon, Juan started pursuing a professional music career in classical performance. Juan has played in various professional orchestras such as the Bach Festival of Winter Park, the Ocala Symphony, The Lakeland Symphony, and the Longmont Symphony. Juan received a B.A. from Rollins College and an M.M. from the University of Denver. Currently, Juan is pursuing a D.M.A. in bassoon performance and pedagogy at the University of Florida with a graduate assistantship. He has studied with Martin Kuuskmann, Rich Ervin, and Dr. Shannon Lowe.
